What Guides Our Choices
THREE Pillars, One Same Requirement
Behind each operational choice of the House, the same question: is it fair? Fair for the environment, fair for our guests, fair for the teams. Three axes structure our daily approach.
genuine, every day
Maison Honnel does not use ecological commitment as a façade. It's a series of concrete choices, integrated into the daily operations of the House, without ever compromising guest comfort.
THREE Pillars, One Same Requirement
Behind each operational choice of the House, the same question: is it fair? Fair for the environment, fair for our guests, fair for the teams. Three axes structure our daily approach.
Our consumption meters are checked regularly to ensure resources are managed efficiently and without waste.
Our rooms are equipped with a keycard-controlled power supply, so lights, heating, and air conditioning are switched off when rooms are unoccupied.
We favour the use of natural, certified materials and natural paints for all our renovations.
Our taps and shower heads are fitted with aerators to save water.
Our toilets have dual-flush buttons, allowing you to choose the amount of water used according to your needs.
For our cleaning, we use naturally ozonated water, which is non-corrosive and reverts back into water and oxygen, so it can be discharged without any impact on the environment.
We are committed to sorting and composting all of our recyclable waste.
We use eco-friendly, refillable products.
Digitalising our services for a more sustainable experience and consumption.
Maison Honnel is committed to ensuring the long-term sustainability of our planet, giving pride of place to respect for the environment and to the well-being of its guests and its staff.
Glass water bottles, Oxygen Water cans made from recycled aluminium, and a self-service water fountain are provided.
Partner of the "Les Hôtels Solidaires" association, which collects, sorts, and distributes goods to help those most in need.
Our Terre de Mars amenities — natural, vegan cosmetics — are certified organic and eco-labelled.
An international label, a local commitment
La Clef Verte is the first international environmental label dedicated to the tourism sector, present in more than 60 countries. It recognises establishments that make a concrete commitment to reducing their environmental impact: energy consumption, water management, waste reduction, and staff awareness.
For Maison Honnel, earning this label is not an end in itself. It is the recognition of a standard already at work every day — the same care given to the Maison's impact on its environment as to the experience of its guests.
what concretely changes
Five simple habits, integrated into the House's operations, that make a real difference without ever being noticed.
Our guests benefit from our advice and our "Paris Nature" concierge guide, encouraging them to use public transport or to discover the capital's parks and green spaces.
Our teams follow procedures tailored to each role to ensure eco-friendly practices are respected in their daily tasks.
We inform our guests about all the alternatives available to reduce their car travel: eco-friendly vehicles, Vélib' bike stations, and public transport.
We work in collaboration with various French and/or European suppliers (Sensaterra, Les Nicettes, La Petite Couronne, Cidre Mauret, etc.) committed to offering our guests short-supply-chain, eco-friendly products.
For breakfast service, we work with local suppliers, offering fresh farm products sourced directly from responsible producers.
Our restaurant team has developed a partnership with the company Too Good To Go, which fights food waste by reselling, at a reduced price, the pastries and breads that were not eaten at breakfast.
We have set up an eco-friendly and socially responsible recovery system through our composting, in partnership with Les Alchimistes.
We favour French-sourced products for our furniture and offer our in-room guests products made from recycled materials that comply with our environmental charter.
