The History
An Address, A Memory
Since the beginning of the 20th century, 33 rue de Surène has been home to artisans and creators seeking what Paris offers most preciously: the perfect light, the tranquility of inner courtyards, a silent demand unique to places where true craftsmanship happens. A tailor from the north of Italy, Carlo Honnel, set up his workshop there — clean cut, precise line, attention to detail. Nothing is spectacular. Everything is just right.
Over the decades, practices have changed without losing the spirit of the place. Maison Honnel is seamlessly part of this continuity: not a tribute to the past, but an assumed lineage.
